Anyone Can Code (But can I?)

Hi Friends,

Since I was small, I was into computer games. During preschool, I would sneak myself in special-ed room to play the computer games when everyone was at nap time.. In grade school, I would try my hardest to finish my work early so I can play games like treasure mountain or math blasters. When I was teen, I deleted all the system files so I can install Diablo II. I built computers. Installed the hardware and software. Made sure that everything ran smoothly.

But today, I only use a laptop to copy and paste cells inside a excel spreadsheet.

After soul-searching, I started to think about what I enjoyed during my childhood. The answer was computers.

I came across a youtube video, Anyone Can Learn To Code and Build Projects. I was inspired at all the projects that Steph Smith built in a short amount of time (3-6 months). After hearing her story, I felt like I could do that too. With that excitement, I found the Udemy course she took and enrolled in the class.

Here I am, 33 years old and writing my first line of code. My goal is to finish the course before the end of the year (that might be a stretch). I will share my struggles and achievements in learning how to code.

If you made it to the end of this piece, thank you for reading.
